POLL: 13% OF AMERICANS KNOW SOMEONE WHO DIED AFTER NOT BEING ABLE TO PAY FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT

About 34 million Americans know someone who died after being unable to pay for a medical treatment.

It shows that more than 13% of Americans have a friend or a family member who died in the past five years; after not receiving a treatment because of the high costs.

The survey also found that 22.9% of U.S. adults said there had been a time in the past year when their household was unable to pay for drugs they were prescribed.
