Human Rights Campaign Expands Field Efforts to Include Over 160 Staff in Key Battleground States


Today, the Human Rights Campaign announced the expansion of staff into key battleground states with just 54 days until the November 3rd election. HRC will be adding over 100 staff across the country dedicated to mobilizing and turning out 57 million “Equality Voters” that will make the difference in the Presidential, U.S. Senate, U.S. House, and state-level elections. This brings HRC’s total number of staff organizing LGBTQ voters to over 160. We see a real opportunity to create change in the midst of the most consequential election of our lifetimes that has literal life and death consequences for LGBTQ Americans. We’re determined not to let this moment pass us by. HRC is investing on record-high levels in states across the country to be the margin of victory where it matters most. Our dedicated staff will be engaging key voting constituencies to elect a record number of pro-equality candidates to make 2020 a history-making year and an election season that brings greater equality to every community.
