LANSING – Fair and Equal Michigan announced today that it has submitted nearly 500,000 petition signatures for its initiative to amend the state Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act to include anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ individuals. The event is a historic milestone in the more than 30-year fight for equal rights in Michigan.
