This week, HRC announced the endorsement of several candidates seeking to expand the pro-equality majority in the U.S. House of Representatives. If they win this November, these candidates HRC endorsed will expand the pro-equality majority, pass the Equality Act, ensure access to quality, affordable health care is protected, pass systemic reform to our police system, ensure common-sense gun safety legislation is considered and advance voting rights. More from HRC . Said HRC President Alphonso David ( @AlphonsoDavid ): “We must reelect and expand the pro-equality majority in Congress to achieve real and lasting change for LGBTQ people. The candidates endorsed [this week] are proof that the battleground for the majority is expanding, and LGBTQ equality is a winning issue in every corner of the country. Over the coming months, we will utilize every opportunity and every resource to elect these candidates and ensure we make history once again in 2021 by finally enacting the Equality Act.”
